Back in the swing of things. Mostly.

Bobby and I have been home for a few days, and have mostly readjusted to Pacific time. I'm no longer waking up at 4:00 in the morning, and didn't get up until 8:00 today. However, exhaustion is a sneaky mistress. I went out Friday night to celebrate Aaron's birthday at Henry's Tavern. When dinner ended, I went home to play Rock Band with Jonathan and Breylan. They were a bit late in arriving, and I was unconscious on the couch by the time Jonathan texted. Party canceled.

Saturday night, I met up with a trio of MP-ers, past and present. Kelly, Britt, Morgan, and their respective gentlemen. We decided to check out a new bar, Dig a Pony, on Grand. Their fries are delicious. Many hugs were exchanged, and it was wonderful to see these familiar faces again. I've been having I-Dream-Of-MP dreams for the last two weeks. Seems I miss everybody.

Post-DAP, Bobby and I headed to the Melissa-Tiernan-Jeremi household for Tiernan's surprise going away party. I met their cute new dog and milled around chatting with various friends we hadn't seen in a while. However, by 11:00, I was falling asleep in a lawn chair. It was time to go home. Damn you, jet lag, forcing me to be lame and leave parties early!

Tonight, we'll be hosting a True Blood marathon featuring tonight's new episode and the two that we missed while in Sweden. We're grilling chicken and making cold pesto pasta to complement the 90+ degree temperature outside. Tomorrow marks my first day at the new job. I'm nervous and excited.

In the meantime, check out my first two Way Out West reviews and Bobby's photos here and here. Two more coming. Pulp should be posted later today, and the final festival day will be up by Tuesday.
