Bobby is downstairs playing a video game, so I will post a few things that are apropos of nothing. Earlier tonight, Bobby showed me how to create an avatar for the PlayStation. I hemmed and hawed about the facial structure and the terrible shoe choices before I finally finished it. Once out in the virtual world, I discovered that the central virtual square was overrun with turkeys. Then I discovered that I could make my avatar CHASE the virtual turkeys. Then I discovered there was some sort of game that involved chasing the virtual turkeys. Then I laughed so hard I was crying. Then Bobby said all the other avatars were judging my avatar, saying "look at the noob!" Here is what chasing the virtual turkeys looks like:
Then I went back to my virtual apartment, which is full of beige virtual couches, and discovered I could shove the virtual couches around my virtual apartment and stack them on top of each other. Sometimes I am intentionally bad at video games.
I'm completely consumed by the trailer for Blue Valentine, which will be coming out at the end of December. It looks heartbreaking and fantastic. Anybody want to go see it with me? Kel?
Portland is covered in a light blanket of snow, which is, at the moment, not sticking to the roads. I suppose I'll see what the day has in store for me when I wake up tomorrow. I strongly prefer snow when I can go to it. I don't want it to come to me, unless I have nothing to do but sit in my house and drink tea in front of the fireplace until the snow melts. Can we please not have a snowpocalypse this year?
I will close this post with a message from my mother, sent approximately 10 minutes ago, after I'd replied to an email from her:
"Go to bed. This is your mother talking. I'm on my way there myself. Adios."
On that note! Goodnight blog.
You are truly funny and have a knack for creating words. So glad to know that you are still obedient.
ReplyDeleteI think I was actually awake for an extra hour after that. Caffeine addiction is a scourge.
